A special section for races at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve since my home race will probably turn into the biggest section on my site.

Montreal Grand Prix 2014
In a predictable season, Montreal is never predictable. Both Mercedes ran into problems, Mexicans and Brazilians had big crashes, and Danny Ric picked up a maiden win!
Montreal Grand Prix 2013
Finally, a race that was worth sleeping through. Vettel finally got his win in dominating fashion
Montreal Grand Prix 2012
A bit of tyre gambling by Red Bull and Ferrari turned the last half of this race into a bit of a thriller but it is a bit hard to live up to the hype of the previous four races.
Montreal Grand Prix 2011
A four hour classic. Downpours, redflags, safety cars and last lap passes. Button provided the entertainment for the fans who braved out some truly terrible conditions.
Montreal Grand Prix 2010
Bernie must have got the money that he was after in 2009. Montreal provided the race of the year with a surface that ripped the Bridgestone tyres to shreds and gave Lewis Hamilton his second Canadian Grand Prix trophy
Montreal Grand Prix 2008
Worked my way up to the front row of Grandstand 21 with my new found racing friends from the year before. Kubica and Hamilton managed to swap luck from the previous year with Kubica providing a very popular maiden win and Lewis having a very embarressing crash in the pit lane
Montreal Grand Prix 2007
My second Grand Prix race but my first full gp weekend in Montreal and my first visit to Grandstand 21. Also Lewis Hamilton's first visit to Montreal, first pole and first win. Robert Kubica provided the entertainment this time with a crash the likes of which I don't care to see repeated too often.
Montreal Grand Prix 2006
My first ever home Grand Prix. I only made it on the Sunday where I got to see Fernando Alonso continue his winning ways in the Renault. Jacques Villeneuve managed to provide some entertainment by biting the wall in front of me.
My Home track
Having a home race is great. Everyone from out of town is worrying about accomodation and whether they will be able to understand the metro system. I on the other hand just need to remember to stock up on enough beer for the weekend, remember where I left my tickets, and roll out of the house on Friday on the way to the track as though I would be heading to work.
The only downside to having a home race is that the city gets invaded by people who apparently have never seen an escalator before. In Montreal we all know the system where you stand on the right side of an escalator so that people can walk up the left. In the middle of June though you will be forced to stand behind two out of town Americans who can find some logic in standing beside each other on an otherwise empty escalator. If you read this, please take note for when you head into town.
